A Fourth Quarter in Review – Gratitude & Giving Back

Partnership Property Management takes pride in giving back to our communities and charitable work as a cornerstone of our company culture. As a company, we believe in not only giving back to our employees but also the communities we serve and impact daily.

During the month of November, Partnership Property Management hosted its annual Game Day at our corporate office. This is a well-known and beloved tradition among our staff led by Vice President Ed Dallape. We take this time every year to turn our monthly staff meeting into a team strengthening event. Employees enjoy bingo, golf chipping, a highly competitive cornhole tournament, as well as a cornhole course mini golf style.

During this fun time of fellowship, we hold a 50/50 raffle to benefit a charity or community organization each year. This year, Community Service Committee Chair, Jade Thomas alongside Partner and Executive Officer, Mike Holloman chose The Servant Center based in Greensboro, North Carolina. We are proud to have donated to this worthwhile organization that helps homeless and struggling veterans find permanent housing and register for their Veterans Affairs benefits.

Additionally in November and December, Partnership Property Management was proud to partner with CAHEC to provide two Mobile Market Food Distributions in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Maintenance Caretakers Therman Pittman and Stephen Staton from PPM were among the volunteers assisting with the event. Nash County residents were provided with almost 18,000 meals between the two events. Fresh produce, meat, non-perishable items, breads, desserts, and more were distributed during the events.

Partnership Property Management’s corporate staff also completed their 2nd Annual Blanket Drive for the Seniors. Employees collected blankets and socks to be distributed to a senior living community in our portfolio that was drawn at random. This year’s recipients were the residents of Oakdale Apartments in Middlesex, North Carolina. Our corporate staff cherish this time to visit our residents, wish them a happy holiday season, and leave them a warm gift from PPM. We are grateful for the time with our residents this project provides.

For our last project of the year, our corporate staff donated gifts to our local Department of Social Services to provide children in foster care with Christmas presents.

These charitable events showcase the importance of having reliable, safe, and affordable housing. We are proud to be a management company who has heart for those we serve every day. We could not be prouder of the love and support our employees have shown during the year. They care not only for our company but also for the communities we serve and their residents. We believe this love for people is a core part of what makes Partnership Property Management a success.

Accounting Leadership Changes and New Resident Systems Department Announced

Partnership Property Management takes pride in our dedication to high standards of operation and integrity to both our owners and to each resident we serve. To adapt to our growing portfolio and strengthen our day-to-day operations, Partnership Property Management has made some changes to our Accounting Department’s structure.

We are excited to announce that Austin Hooper has joined our team as Controller. Austin brings with him almost a decade of experience in finance and accounting. Austin specialized in banking and cash processes, financial analysis, auditing, and job costing. We have no doubt he will lead our accounting team in excellence.

With Austin’s arrival, Krista Mabe has been promoted to Assistant Controller. She has a wealth of knowledge and two decades of experience with financial analysis, accounts payable and receivable, depreciation, and taxes, HUD and RD reporting. We are excited about Krista’s new role and her continued leadership.

Lucas Wilson has been named Accounting Supervisor. Lucas formerly led our Tenant Accounts Department. His experience in day-to-day accounting practices and in resident accounts makes him a perfect leader for our Property Accountant team. Lucas’ upbeat, positive leadership will continue to be a great asset as he takes on this new role.

With these changes to our core accounting structure, we are excited to announce a new department of our company that has a widespread role in making daily operations run smoothly. Our former Tenant Accounts Department is now Resident Systems and is a part of our Information Technology Department. This change is fitting to the role they play in managing resident accounts and specializing in the technology used with online payments, digital utility reimbursements, and digital analysis.

To lead this new Department and team, Partnership Property Management is excited to announce Shernicka Ray as Resident Systems Manager. Shernicka brings excellent hands-on experience as a former Property Manager within PPM. She has also held roles with the Greensboro and Reidsville Housing Authorities as well as CAHEC for a combination of almost a decade of expertise. Shernicka possesses a wonderful character, is always willing to make sure a task is done correctly, and make sure the job gets done right the first time. We are thrilled to see her take the lead in this new department and continue to see her leadership shine.

Partner and CEO Rick Allen said he is excited to see the continued enhancements to PPM’s operations that make us an affordable housing property management industry leader. Allen expressed that he is excited to see the positive outcomes these realignments will bring to the future of the company.
